About

I am an undergraduate physics student based in Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, currently in his senior year. I was seduced into science by the many wonders of astronomy, and it remains my passion ever since. My current research interest is focused on exoplanets, specifically on detecting magnetism on exoplanets to assess their habitability prospects and chance of atmospheric escape.
Through various experiences I have realized that the essential requirement for me to deeply focus on a line of work is that I find meaning in it, more specifically, that I do not struggle to connect the problem at hand to the "big questions" of cosmos, such as the questions of fundamental processes of nature and the search for extraterrestrial life. As an undergrad, I am still exploring various fields of physics and astronomy, and am often attracted by many.
In addition to my technical interests, nowadays, I am also interested in the philosophy of science and physics, and am trying to familiarize myself with different points of view. To that end, I am more than open to any suggestions in the form of books, articles, etc.

For any inquiries, academic or not, please do not hesitate to reach out. Oh, by the way, see that photo of the night sky at the top of the page? I took that!
